Just as summer was winding down and leaves were beginning to change, I captured Moraine Lake bride Debol in the Valley of the Ten Peaks. I’ve photographed Debol a number of times and when I heard she was moving across country, I had to squeeze in a visit and one last photo shoot. We spent a perfect afternoon road tripping in the Rockies, sipping lattes and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
If you’ve never been, you’ll want to add Moraine Lake to your bucket list of places to visit…asap. The Moraine Lake website describes it best;
Its waters are the most amazing colour, a vivid shade of turquoise that changes in intensity through the summer as the glaciers melt. Set in the rugged Valley of the Ten Peaks, Moraine Lake is surrounded by mountains, waterfalls, and rock piles, creating a scene so stunning it almost seems unreal. Sit lakeside and absorb the sights and pure mountain air, or explore further by canoeing and hiking. It’s an iconically jaw-dropping place that is sure to leave a lasting impression.
Hayley Paige for a Moraine Lake bride
Our Moraine Lake bride wore the “Reagan” by Hayley Paige in the prettiest shade of blush. Hayley Paige describes the gown as a sand-washed orchid caviar bridal ball gown with an illusion jewel neckline with sweetheart lining. The back features a modern strap detail and full floral skirt with layered organza. You’ll find Reagan and other jaw-dropping gowns at Cameo & Cufflinks on 12th Avenue in Calgary. Let me tell you that Debol was a quite a hit with the tourists at Moraine Lake that day!
Here’s another Hayley Paige bride, photographed last fall in Fish Creek Park, if you’d like to see.
A big thank you to everyone who made this shoot so special including:
