Heidy's Winter Portrait Session in Calgary
Heidy’s shoot back in January was my first of 2013. It was soooo cold but the light was beautiful that morning (plus I made a new friend). Turns out Heidy is also a Downton fan!!!

Back before the frost (sigh), I did my fourth session in little Sonia’s “First Year” package. Hard to believe we started way back here. What a delight seeing this little muffin grow and change over the past year.

I spent a colorful, summer evening with Carolyn and Ryan, in honor of their 14th wedding anniversary. This was not my first shoot with them and they are always a delight to work with. Talk about p-e-r-s-o-n-a-l-i-t-y!! Case-in-point, they broke into an impromtu rendition of “When You’re A Jet” from West Side story, mid-shoot. The goal was a 1950’s theme, but nothing too cute. Mission accomplished.

Here’s a little something from my fourth session of little Sonia’s first year package.

Here’s a look back at session 1.
I had such fun with these two and I knew I would. Stay tuned…

My poor little blog has been utterly neglected this week so I thought I’d share something from Wednesday’s lovely portrait session.

I was so excited to meet little Grace. She’s the sweet daughter of one of my past couples, and a delight in a blue pram.

Just a little something from yesterday’s session with this little girlie!!

Two of my favourite people are about to become three. Literally, any day now…

I had some lovely, bright spots in my Easter weekend. One was the opportunity to catch up with these two for a photo shoot before their new babe arrives. Easter is all about fresh starts and nothing says ‘new’ like a family about to bloom. Can’t wait to meet him.

Today I’m featuring another Crave Calgary business, Your Friendly Bookkeeper.
Debbi Chapman provides dedicated, professional service for business owners looking to experience freedom from cumbersome bookkeeping and administrative worries to run their businesses and serve their clients. YFB believes the day-to-day tasks of keeping a business running and successful can be fun and friendly – those probably weren’t the “f” words that came to mind when you thought of bookkeeping, were they?

Back in the fall, I was so pleased to meet up with Nicole, David and their boys for a family shoot. Nicole is one of my favourite people and a real talent as a graphic designer and creator of beautiful, paper products. We’ve worked together on multiple projects and I miss her since she moved to Saskatchewan.

Back in January, I took a short trip to New York for a photography workshop (more on that later). I took this photo while wandering in Greenwich Village and when I started thinking about it, I realized that I think I have a thing for mirrors. Here are a few of my favourite mirror shots from the last year or two.
